Tales of Monkey Island: Complete Season
About
While explosively stripping the evil pirate LeChuck of his demonic magic, Guybrush Threepwood inadvertently infects the entire Caribbean with the voodoo expelled by the arch-devil, threatening to turn buccaneers into unruly pirate monsters. Pursued by a relentless notorious pirate hunter and a terrifying French doctor who believes Guybrush's strangely infected hand holds the secret to eternal life, Threepwood sails the seven seas in search of La Esponja Grande, a legendary sea sponge with unmatched exfoliating voodoo powers. But Guybrush scarcely knows that his quest is part of a larger, more sinister plot, and good and evil aren't always what they seem...
Who can Guybrush trust? To whom can he turn? Everything you think you know will be challenged as Tales of Monkey Island reaches its unexpected finale!
About Chapter One
The saga begins with a fierce battle involving the brave yet often clumsy Mighty Pirate™ Guybrush, his beloved wife Elaine, and his nemesis, the demon pirate LeChuck. When the confrontation goes up in flames, Guybrush finds himself stranded on a strange island with winds that constantly blow inward. How will our hero escape this meteorological anomaly? What happened to LeChuck and Elaine? And what is the story behind the contagious voodoo pox spreading throughout the Caribbean, causing Guybrush and other pirates to act like unruly vandals? These are just some of the many questions posed in this first chapter of one of the most entertaining and resounding experiences of the summer.
About Chapter Two
Guybrush's adventures continue on the high seas, as pirates infected by the pox besiege the innocent Merfolk. Between defending the Merfolk and dodging the persistent pirate hunter on his trail, Guybrush manages to reach his beloved wife and his despised arch-nemesis — but the reunion is short-lived. Now, Guybrush must focus on eradicating LeChuck's Pox before more damage is done. And as the Mighty Pirate inches closer to the cure, the waters will only get murkier in this thrilling chapter of the epic saga.
About Chapter Three
In the third chapter of Tales of Monkey Island, Guybrush delves deeper (literally!) into his quest for the exfoliating voodoo of La Esponja Grande, which takes a dramatic twist — through the belly of a giant manatee!
Trapped in the beast's belly, our hero encounters a surprising group of castaways, including the long-lost (and obsessive-compulsive) explorer Coronado De Cava. Will the Mighty Pirate win the trust of the skeptical De Cava? Will the pirate hunter Morgan LeFlay prove to be an unyielding foe or an unlikely ally? Will the group find La Esponja Grande in time to save Elaine from LeChuck's rampant pox? And will the world be crushed beneath the gnashing teeth of a certain demonic skull? The gripping third episode of Tales of Monkey Island, "Lair of the Leviathan," will answer some of these pressing questions — and raise even more — as the five-month adventure nears its epic climax!
About Chapter Four
Guybrush returns to Flotsam Island, but forget about a hero's welcome. Delivered to De Singe by the traitor Morgan LeFlay, Guybrush is captured by an angry mob and put on trial! With a sharp-tongued prosecutor in his face and a noose hanging over his neck, Guybrush must figure out how to defend himself from severe charges. Meanwhile, the determined Marquis sets his sights on a new, much more alluring test subject. How will the Mighty Pirate wiggle out of this mess? The monthly tension of Tales of Monkey Island continues to escalate in "The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood." Brace yourself for a shocking revelation that will shake the world of Monkey Island to its core.
About Chapter Five
Our pirate heroes meet their perfect match with the Rise of the Pirate God. Can the world of Monkey Island be saved? Find out as the Tales of Monkey Island saga comes to its thrilling conclusion.
