BLUE REFLECTION

The BLUE REFLECTION series began with the release of its first game in 2017, telling the story of an injured former ballerina who, using her powers as a magical Reflector, formed bonds with others and confronted an imminent threat to the world. From there, the RPG series expanded into an anime, a mobile game, and a sequel for consoles.

BLUE REFLECTION Quartet brings these four moving stories together in a single collection. New features make the series more accessible than ever, including a reference section that both explains the setting for new players and offers longtime fans a deeper look into its world. The games in this collection can be played in any order.

BLUE REFLECTION

• A console game that told the story of an injured former ballerina who, using her powers as a magical Reflector, formed bonds with others and confronted an imminent threat to the world.
• Experience school life and a carefully crafted fantasy world brought to life by renowned illustrator Mel Kishida and writers Keiichi Shigusawa, Yusaku Igarashi, and Koji Natsumi. The graphics and usability have been enhanced compared to the original March 2017 release.
• Character models and environmental textures have been updated to high-resolution versions, and new visual effects, such as the shimmering glow of water, enrich the atmosphere of the world. In addition, new features such as increased movement speed during exploration and auto-save have been added, delivering a more enjoyable experience than ever before.

BLUE REFLECTION: RAY

• An anime that tells the story of magical Reflectors coming into conflict with one another over differing beliefs and emotions.
• Set in the world of the original BLUE REFLECTION game, this anime was the first additional work in the BLUE REFLECTION multimedia project and aired from April to September 2021.
• BLUE REFLECTION Quartet presents a condensed version of the story, with the main characters recreated in 3D.
• Follow Hiori and Ruka as they explore the world of the human collective unconscious, known as the Common, while reliving their memories on their journey to confront Shino.
• The anime’s story unfolds as they gather the scattered fragments of their memories, and a new prologue and epilogue connect this work to the rest of the series.

BLUE REFLECTION: SUN

• A mobile game that told the story of a team of girls living in a dying world while clinging to hope for the future.
• Set in the world of the original BLUE REFLECTION game, this title was first released in February 2023 as part of the BLUE REFLECTION project.
• SUN’s story has been reimagined as a console game in BLUE REFLECTION Quartet, using the systems from BLUE REFLECTION: Second Light to recreate the original game’s memorable battles. This game tells the story of SUN across 24 events with new character interactions. The prologue and epilogue from the original release also connect this work to the rest of the series.

BLUE REFLECTION: Second Light

• A console game that tells the story of a group of girls with no memories who find themselves in a strange world. Throughout their adventures, they must look deep into their hearts, recover their memories, and uncover the truth about the world they inhabit.
• This entry in the BLUE REFLECTION project was originally released in October 2021.
• This version in BLUE REFLECTION Quartet includes eight additional characters from RAY and SUN who can join you in battle. These new characters also join Yuzuki and Lime as new additions to Photo Mode! New features such as increased battle speed, faster movement during exploration, and fast-forwarding through events have been added, making for a more enjoyable experience than ever before.

The stories of each game

BLUE REFLECTION

• After a leg injury puts an end to her dream of becoming a ballerina, Hinako meets Yuzuki and Lime, who grant her strange magical powers. They tell Hinako that if she defeats the Sephira threatening her world, one of her wishes will come true. Desperate to return to the stage, she resolves to gather fragments of emotion known as Fragments in order to become strong enough to destroy the Sephira.

BLUE REFLECTION: RAY

• Hiori Hirahara is bright and optimistic, always ready to lend a hand. Ruka Hanari is shy, awkward, and never seems able to find the right words. Together, they will change each other… and the world.

BLUE REFLECTION: SUN

• Play as the leader of the “weakest squad in history” in a world on the brink of destruction. Battle Testa, born from the ashes, solve your companions’ problems, and resist the spread of corruption.

BLUE REFLECTION: Second Light

• On her way to summer classes, Ao finds herself at an academy surrounded by water. Ao is not the only one there, but the other students have lost their memories and had not even realized something was wrong until Ao’s sudden appearance. Hoping to learn more about this strange world, Ao and the others join forces to explore the supernatural Heartscape that has emerged beside the academy.
