STORY

By harnessing mako, the planet's lifeblood, through its mako reactors, the Shinra Electric Power Company has practically taken control of the entire world. A diverse group of idealists known as Avalanche is one of the last bastions of resistance.

Cloud, a former SOLDIER operative turned mercenary, participates in an Avalanche operation to destroy Mako Reactor 1 in the city of Midgar.
The explosion plunges the city into fiery chaos, and Cloud is haunted by visions of a bitter enemy thought to be dead.

Once more begins a story that will shape the destiny of an entire world.
