In the scorching heat of Nasdara Province, a vast expanse of sun-cracked earth and ever-shifting sands, you will fight to survive as one of the last survivors in a land ravaged by endless wars, even before the infected outbreak. Survival here is measured not only by the drops of water you manage to save, but also by the bullets you choose not to spend.

A new landscape

Explore the largest official map ever released for DayZ: 267 km² of sprawling post-apocalyptic desert, located west of Chernarus and bordering the far west of Takistan. To the east, the sands press further inland, while jagged mountains mark the border and divide the western lands. This entirely landlocked territory is a battlefield etched with scars, with many stories left to tell.

Geopolitically troubled territory

Walk among the ruins of constant proxy wars, waged by global superpowers competing for control of this resource-rich land. Abandoned historical sites, dense Middle Eastern-inspired cities, and crumbling Soviet military bases blend with modern oil wells and refinery infrastructure. Highways, once built to connect East and West, now stretch across the desert like abandoned hope.

Dry spring climate

Survive the arid climate while facing even harsher droughts. Your thirst will not be easily quenched: not by the land, nor by the ordinary wells that did not survive the war. But you will not be entirely at the mercy of the heat. You will be able to adapt through the use of region-specific weapons, cosmetics, and equipment. You will even face infected variants unique to this territory, all specially adapted for the expansion.
